High-point Essay #2 (tie): How do you encourage others to live a healthy lifestyle?

It’s easy to promote a healthy lifestyle, as I believe everyone deserves to feel strong, energized, and confident in their own body. One of the ways I encourage others is to lead by example. I stay consistent with my own fitness routine, which includes daily workouts and mindful nutrition. I am known for my sweet tooth, and will make room in my diet for a cupcake, but I’m also known for my mental toughness to stay on track with my fitness goals. This allows me to share firsthand the physical and mental benefits of a healthy lifestyle, making it easier to inspire those around me.

In addition, I co-founded Faith Through Fitness, a nonprofit that combines faith-based principles with health and wellness initiatives. Through this organization, I help others discover the importance of caring for their bodies as an extension of their spiritual and emotional well-being. By hosting fitness events and offering motivational support, I help people from all walks of life and fitness abilities to overcome barriers to adopting a healthier way of life.

Whether it’s sharing tips on small, achievable changes—like drinking more water or walking daily—or encouraging others to join a supportive fitness community, I make it my goal to create an inclusive and inspiring environment for anyone looking to improve their health. Through faith, perseverance, and teamwork, we can all work toward a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
